Ali G (Borat) Video Controversy

user submitted picture We here at Jmerica are HUGE fans of HBO's Da Ali G Show. Somehow, we missed the episode where this song aired, but we read about it on Jewschool, which posted the video. It depicts the star of the show, Sacha Baron Cohen (MOT), as Borat, a Kazakhstani tv host. Borat goes to a redneck bar and sings a song called "My Country Has a Problem". The refrain is "Throw the Jew down the well, so my country can be free." Sadly, the rednecks sing along with enthusiasm.

This is an amazing piece of social commentary that is both hilarious AND disturbing. It has raised a letter of protest by the ADL who fear that the irony will be lost on some people and they will just think it's a great song.

It sure makes for some great debate...

She Might Be Cute, But JDate Only Gets Uglier

kari Gold for Jdate As if JDate didn't have enough tsuris with their now-you-see-it, now-you-don't IPO, Ha'aretz has dug up the real nasty truth: The biggest Jewish dating site has been using- *gasp*- fake profiles for their banner ads starring-*double gasp*- porn models. Pictured here is Hungarian hottie Kari Gold, whose grandparents were probably Nazis. We know integrity is a dirty word these days, but why do people continue to patronize this corporate sham? We've said it before, we'll say it again: there's nothing Jewish about JDate.

No Respect, But Plenty of Weed

user submitted pictureOur favorite king of crass Rodney Dangerfield admits to being a depressed nudist stoner kept remotely fit for societal contact only by his saintly Mormon (and hot) wife. We hear his new memoir, It's Not Easy Bein' Me: A Lifetime of No Respect but Plenty of Sex and Drugs, is worth more than a few guffaws.
